Though dated by today's standards, Dennis Yu's "The Imp" is an eerie blend of Rosemary's Baby and The Exorcist, with a Hong Kong New Wave twist. The editing, cinematography, and performances all come together to present a creepy and grim meditation on child abuse, marriage, the dark history hidden below a Hong Kong skyscraper. If you like Rosemary's Baby, The Exorcist, The Omen, or Italian giallo films, you'll likely appreciate this 1981 Hong Kong horror gem.
