@MrBanditoRazor11 months ago I don't play dark Angels but I hope to God -1 dmg stays in. It fits with the rest of the "theme" and I like that 8

@jameswhitmore30669 months ago What a game great demo of the game. I got leviathan for my birthday this week and being an old person returning to the game with 8th ed from a gap from rt and 2nd ed. Big change can be complicated looking forward to my first games of 10th now. ...

@tabletopchuck51211 months ago Definitely going to see mixed wing for sure and you can make so many different list 3

@TennesyCowboy11 months ago I'm really excited about my good old humble scout snipers. Stealth, concealed positions, 2W, 2+ to hit if remained stationary, AP -2, D2 and precision can take out subcommanders without good invulnerable save. With Grim Resolve they don't care about battleshock. And killing them would require a lot of effort, so most likely they would be ideal home objective holders. I don't think they were that good in any edition.
Not sure how good would Land Speeder Vengeance be though, looks like plasma took quite a hit in 10th edition. And I'm quite sad about losing Company Veterans, even using them as other veterans would be quite hard - I doubt that using them as Sternguard would be allowed at any events, and Vanguard veterans are just terrible.
And a funny thing - Deathwing sergeant cannot replace his power sword for thunder hammer.

@tabletopchuck51211 months ago Chaplain with outriders and atv they will have devastating wounds and can shoot back when shot at and the weapons are twin linked its going to be good. Oh the chapy also does +1 to wound its a good combo and if you have Talonmaster or storm speeders near by its even better. Or use the dark angels strat to give assault heavy and ignor cover! ... 2

@shanelewis705211 months ago My favourite 10th combo so far is DW Strikemaster with DW Command squad. Lethal hits makes stormbolters actually wound. Belial has basically become redundant in anything up to 1000points. I ran a mixed DW/GW 1000pointer and the 2 characters and command squad turned T5 orks into shish kebab. Belial and StMa giving the unit Precision and Lethal Hits is a fun combo, 1 turned 9 boyz, a nob and the painboy that was attached with some shooting and a successful charge. ...

@TheDbend11 months ago I'm pretty bummed that Interrogator Chaplains are seemingly just...gone? I'm hoping it an omission. Aside from that I'm considering some drop pods to shuttle in a unit of kamikaze hellblasters to just overcharge and shoot on death, as well as some sternguard (but thats mostly because they look cool) ... 1

Strikes of Retribution: Each time a melee attack is allocated
to this model, after the attacking model’s unit has finished
making its attacks, roll one D6 (to a maximum of six D6 per
attacking unit): for each 2+, the attacking unit suffers 1
    mortal wound.

@zevriungames746311 months ago Do we know if the ravenwing command squad has the knights of caliban ability or do you sacrifice that ability to take the special units?
  • @
@shadedreaver11 months ago Sammael is on a jet bike, moves 12 and cant turbo boost and regular ground bikes can advance up to 18
  • @
@michaelneumiller244811 months ago Honestly right now until we get points and I can actually put things into a list I'm lost at how I want to even structure anything and see what synergies I can create.
  • @
@chris_dietz11 months ago I like the idea that paint doesn't dictate playstyle. Every other faction is "rule of cool" but try painting your deathwing green and "you should play salamanders."
  • @
@Granmoe11 months ago I like Talonmaster and Landspeeder Vengeance combo.
  • @
@RSBurgener11 months ago I started building DA Successor chapter a couple of months ago. There weren't any 10th edition rules yet, so I went full creative mode. So far, it looks like I'm mostly a Space Marines army with a unit of Deathwing Knights. I'm assuming we don't get Successor rules, right? It seems weird to take some units and special characters as they seem specifically DA chapter. So at the moment, it looks like Successors are mostly vanilla marines. I think Successors are in a weird place at this point in the game and I dont think they've given us much thought beyond Gladius or cut, paste and paint. ...

@shadeling671711 months ago They already corrected the bonkers MW from Deathwatch. I'm actually hoping the only 10 person squads for several units old tac squads, battle sisters, dominions is a mistake.
  • @
@Black_Blow_Fly11 months ago They will faq -1 dmg otherwise they’d be immune to MW 2
  • @
@Dee7nine11 months ago Is Azreal ever going to give the Lion his helmet back?
  • @
@shadedreaver11 months ago We lost our bikes though, no more ravenwing bikes, and Sammael can't turbo boost
  • @
@justinterrell702011 months ago That not to a minimum of 1 thing is already getting fixed lmao. I could tell that wasnt intended, these indices have been super sloppy
  • @
@Sebek03111 months ago Bruva im sad,we lost our Interregator Chaplains,we got nothing in return in the index, regular one cant join a squads of DW. Gedub curse you!!!
  • @
@Optionvideo20911 months ago Grim resolve is a joke, it's missing 2 or 3 rules on top but it's not a big deal just play vanilla marines with da sheets and there's a codex next spring anyway.
  • @
@boutinpowered837311 months ago Hey, you look just like that guy on the thumbnail!
  • @
@LordRaif11 months ago I'm kind of unclear on GW's stance on successors in 10th edition. Can I run my DA successor as DA, complete with named characters?
  • @
@zarbonian11 months ago I’ll admit I was disappointed with black knights and deathwing knights. Feels like a complete role swap where BKs take down monsters while DWKs just take down inf (maybe). Just feels odd.
Otherwise our fliers feels appropriate and that’s awesome. And I’m glad our other named characters got a breath of fresh air with some cool rules

@Velgar_Grim11 months ago Command Squads returning to what they used to be is one the smart moves from GW (which they didn't need to stupid move in the first place, like URs... Buuuut...)
Got to love too how this edition again is "the most balanced" and the usual, aaand you indeed got the kind of 40MWs per turn within days of seeing the slates, vs GW "playtesting this throughoutly for a long time".
But in general, quite few things do look good on Dangel-index. There's some silly cheese of course, but mainly I'm sad about losing our edgy Chaplains dying due to shooting themselves in shame and being replaced conveniently by Ultramarine Chaplains, while Azrael joins them in flipping the bird to Firstborns...
Still, having simple two documents from the getgo, I might give them a try or two before my Dangels just completely cease to exist.
Pity Sammael lost his Speeder. I always did like the Ravenwing, but never got around to getting the jetbike Sammael...
Still. A lot of goodies to play with, at least for now...
