Dal Vada or Masala Vada is a popular South indian Snack which is made by coarsely grinding soaked Chana dal (Bengal gram). It is best served with Green Coriander chutney and Tamarind chutney.
The ingredients used are:
2 cups Chana dal (Bengal gram)
½ tsp Fennel seeds (Saunf)
½ tsp Cumin seeds (Jeera)
1 inch Ginger finely chopped
2 Onions finely chopped
Few Coriander leaves finely chopped
Few Curry leaves chopped
2 green Chillies finely chopped
Salt to taste
2 tbsp Rice flour (optional)
Oil for deep frying
